Hello, my name is Sarah. This blog began as a way of documenting the renovation of our c1910 Federation (Edwardian) home which we refer to as Molly's Maison - it's a nice big kennel for Molly the labradoodle.
The renovating has been slow, very slow, so I also blog about my garden, photography, art and other pretty things that take my fancy.
I have been a maker all my life. I studied a degree in Fine Art at university, majoring in photography and followed that up with a Diploma of Education. I taught for a few years but now find myself as coordinator of a public art gallery, responsible for organising exhibitions and events.
I am still making things and enjoying photography. A few years ago I got very interested in wearable art and was successful at entering two garments into the fantastic World of Wearable Arts (WOW) awards held in New Zealand. I flew over to watch my garments on stage - it was a massive highlight of my creative life.
Sometimes I like the idea of being a fashion designer, so lately I have been designing a range of digitally printed scarves which I have been selling online and at local markets. It has been a lot of work, but also a lot of fun and very rewarding.
Thank you for stopping by, I love that people take the time to do that :)
