Magnolia magic

Stunning magnolias at the Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens on a perfect spring day yesterday. Photos taken with the help of my old Kodak Duaflex. I had a few odd looks and one enquiry about my 'set-up'. Oh well, I say vintage is making a come-back , even in photography.
Back to work today after 9 not-so-relaxing days off work *sigh*.
I need a holiday to get over my so-called holiday!
Looks like another stunning spring day, perfect for being in the garden. Have a good one bloggies xx

  1. Just have another look at these stunning photos and you'll feel better about going back to work in no time...or perhaps not! Ah, the nuisance of mortgages that need to be paid :(

  2. I love those magnolia trees and have been seeing them flowering everywhere and thinking I'd like one for our front yard. GORGEOUS photos as always Sarah you are a photography wiz! I hope you have a good day getting back into work and it's not too hectic or anything!

  3. My mum would be so jealous of your lovely magnolias - she struggles to grow them well here in Brissie, and as soon as they sprout buds, the possums polish them all off. To make matters worse, she left a garden full when they moved from Sydney. Maybe I should print out your pics as consolation! K xx

  4. Absolutely beautiful magnolias! We will need to go through winter, before seeing the beauty of these trees here in Canada. Enjoy them while they're there! Their beauty is fleeting!

  5. I love magnolias. When I was younger our neighbour had one and I remember playing that the tree was a castle when it was in bloom and I used to collect all the petals that fell on the ground.
