I have to say I was a bit disappointed by the market yesterday. I don't know if it was the hot weather that kept people away, but it just didn't seem very busy. I received really lovely feedback and the offer of a local stockist (which was a highlight and something I will follow up) but just not a lot of customers.
But, thems the breaks as they say. At least I have stock for Etsy and also for my next market which I think might be in May.
I have to get myself organised and add more things to the Etsy store. Scarves are just so difficult to photograph! I like the shot above, styled on a Victorian mannequin (just borrowed I'm afraid) but to get a shot of the whole design of the scarf is tricky. That'll keep me busy.
Have a lovely week.
xx
I like leaving it like that, a bit of mystery is good.
ReplyDeleteI think the heat would have been a turn off. Hopefully May is cooler and everyone is looking for a scarf! x
ReplyDeleteMarkets can be hard work with no guarantees. At least if you list the scarves on etsy you don't have to stand around waiting for them to sell. Keep going - they are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteWhat a pity about the market, but the offer to stock your goodies sounds like one to follow up! I can imagine how hard photographing a long scarf would be... can you do one shot from a great distance, and then several segments closer up?
ReplyDeleteLet's have some fun with this Lionhart caper together! J x
