I have been a bit obsessed lately with French macarons. I've never eaten one but really wanted to make some. I used a fairly simple Woman's Weekly cookbook recipe and results are quite good...
...of course I haven't anything to compare them with. These are obviously chocolate (they taste like a chocolate bomb) and my next attempt will be raspberry, mostly because I like the colour. Of course I should be sanding this or painting that, or making jewellery for the gallery. It will all happen in time.
These look so yummy and the plate is so cute!
ReplyDeleteWow Sarah! Beautifully styled photo and your macarons look AMAZING!! I've heard they're a bit tricky to make. Yours looks perfect and delicious xx

YUMMY!!! I Love chocolate bombs!
ReplyDeleteOh Sarah...you have NO IDEA how much I love macaroons since first trying them at a High Tea a couple of weeks ago. These look divine...are they hard to make? would like to try my hand at making some.
ReplyDeleteA x
Wow, Nigella watch out! :-) They look fantastic!
ReplyDeleteI should really have a go at making some myself but I only get as far as cookies and cupcakes!! I really admire the way you have styled them too. Very pretty! x
Sarah, they look fabulous!! I have always wanted to try making them, but they look so difficult! I might have to give them ago and I have to agree, Raspberry would be my flavour of choice:) Enjoy your chocolate macaroons! ~ Tina xx
ReplyDeleteYum! Can you share the recipe? I would love to make them.
ReplyDeleteLove macaroons, can't wait to see the raspberry ones, they would be my pick! They all look very similar in size etc - very professional and nicely displayed on the pretty plate!
ReplyDeleteYum, do you think they would post well?
ReplyDeleteThese look fabulous Sarah! I would love to try and make them are they easy? xx
ReplyDeleteThey look just like the professionals make, and I bet they taste delicious!
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous scene! Yum! xx
ReplyDeleteThey look absolutely delicious! And I love the green teacup and saucer too
ReplyDeleteSeriously Sarah, if I could reach through the computer and snag one of those - I would.
ReplyDeleteI'm salivating, sitting here before breakfast with a cup of coffee. They look fabulous. Don't you just love when things come out right?
Love the step stool you found at the tip. Such a practical thing to keep around. I've been thinking of something like that for the kitchen. Especially for the kids now that they start to use the kitchen.
Those colors are just great. I think any one would be beautiful.
Looks like a bit of work though with sanding and stuff.
Can understand why you procrastinate with some cookies.
Hugs,
Annelie
These look so good sarah! I've never tried a chocolate one but I imagine they are brilliant, your first attempt looks far more impressive than my two batches. I hope you enjoyed them : )
ReplyDeleteGood for you, Sarah! These look delish. xo
ReplyDeleteSarah of course ;) Paris is the top favorite, cannot wait until I get them all to share :) Giddy...
ReplyDeleteHave a beautiful weekend!
