Marvellous macarons!

I have been a bit obsessed lately with French macarons. I've never eaten one but really wanted to make some. I used a fairly simple Woman's Weekly cookbook recipe and results are quite good...

...of course I haven't anything to compare them with. These are obviously chocolate (they taste like a chocolate bomb) and my next attempt will be raspberry, mostly because I like the colour. Of course I should be sanding this or painting that, or making jewellery for the gallery. It will all happen in time.

  7. Wow, Nigella watch out! :-) They look fantastic!

I should really have a go at making some myself but I only get as far as cookies and cupcakes!! I really admire the way you have styled them too. Very pretty! x

  8. Sarah, they look fabulous!! I have always wanted to try making them, but they look so difficult! I might have to give them ago and I have to agree, Raspberry would be my flavour of choice:) Enjoy your chocolate macaroons! ~ Tina xx

  16. Seriously Sarah, if I could reach through the computer and snag one of those - I would.
I'm salivating, sitting here before breakfast with a cup of coffee. They look fabulous. Don't you just love when things come out right?

Love the step stool you found at the tip. Such a practical thing to keep around. I've been thinking of something like that for the kitchen. Especially for the kids now that they start to use the kitchen.

Those colors are just great. I think any one would be beautiful.
Looks like a bit of work though with sanding and stuff.
Can understand why you procrastinate with some cookies.

    Hugs,

    Annelie
