The pumpkin vines are taking over. They're seeds I kept out of a nice pumpkin we had for dinner mid last year so I hope these little fellas are nice too... The little cucumbers are growing before my eyes, each day a few more centimetres longer...
Lettuce for my salads and sandwiches...
Woo hoo!! Finally the tomatoes are showing fruit!! I have no idea what variety most of them are - I don't care so long as they grow and taste nice. I think this one below had self-seeded in a pot plant that Dad brought over for me...
I've been eating butter beans for a few weeks now and have some frozen as well. I made a lovely recipe from them the other night... ( I just used frozen corn and rocket instead of watercress)
I am finding it all so rewarding and lots of fun too. My sister is growing a Giant Pumpkin so hopefully I can post a pic of that too when it grows nice and big.
I hope this week is a good one for you all. :-)
Oh, that looks so divine - I could only wish that we could grow these things outdoor here....but nay...
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog.
ReplyDeleteYour veggie patch very impressive. I'm rather jealous! :)
I'm so envious - your vegetables look absolutely fabulous and ours look absolutely awful! The hot weather has just about killed everything except the good old tomatoes - this weekend's job is to pull everything out ready for the autumn seedlings. Leigh
ReplyDeleteWould be so lovely to have fresh vegetables like that - my vegie garden is yet to materialise - I have grand plans but have not gotten around to anything as of yet. Would love to be able to pick lettuce leaves straight from the garden. That salad looks yummy!
