I wasn't going to post a Friday Flower today as I wasn't feeling super-inspired but then it just didn't seem right not to.
There's not a lot happening in my garden at the moment, but I thought these mottled hydrangeas were interesting.
Well, it's almost the weekend, so here's to a nice one.
Take care xx
They're very interesting hydrangeas with their speckled look - I've never seen that type before. Hope your weekend is a good one Sarah x
ReplyDeleteThey kind of look like someone has flicked the ink pot over them. I love hydrangeas, all ours died off in the drought. I really should think about replacing them.
ReplyDeleteThey are interesting! I have never seen them like that. Have a lovely weekend Sarah. ;-)
ReplyDeletethankyou for that, it is a beauty. and thanks for reminding me of their name, i saw one nearby yesterday and for the life of me i couldn't remember the word - a senior moment.
ReplyDeleteI've never seen hydrangeas like that - amazing!
ReplyDeleteI love hydrangeas, with their many different hues, especially when dried (I have loads arouind the house as I love the subtle greeny mauvy colors when dry!)and was very excited to find a whole border of them at our new house!
I had them cut in the house throughout the summer, lovely pinks and mauves, then cut them for drying in the autumn when they started turning all sorts of fantastic shades of blue green and mauve, and even my xmas mantlepiece display was based out of faded hydrangea heads!
Thank you for sharing that lovely photo!
I think they are very pretty. I love the hardy nature of these plants as well as their gorgeous colours. Fresh, dried or stressed, these flowers always grace us with a brilliant display. X
