Friday flowers

A big bunch of lovely Iceberg roses from my front yard. I'm displaying them in an old jar, now missing it's lid. Mum used it as a sugar jar for as long as I remember. I thought it was too nice to throw out.

You can see my white china birds in my lovely big glass dome as well as a couple of paperweights from my collection.

Here's to a lovely Friday and hopefully some sunny weather for the weekend (wishful thinking in Tassie?) so I can get out in the garden. What are your plans?
Needless to say, my thoughts are with those poor people who now have to rebuild after CycloneYasi.

  1. wow beautiful flowers.......i love the full bunch too, this weekend, i'm off to red hill markets on sat with a stand, and sun off to trash n treasure markets in camberwell with a group of girls for a hunt then off to lunch.....hope you have a great weekend xx

  2. Gorgeous flowers as always Sarah and even better that they are from your amazing garden. Pictures taken with all of your skills too - just lovely! ;-)

  3. The Iceberg rose is so pretty Sarah and especially lovely in your mother's old jar.

Silly me thinking it might be hot in Tassie like everywhere else atm. It's been over 30C here all week and Sunny has had some fun times in her paddling pool. Love to Molly.
    Pamela xx

  7. I love when it's still Thursday afternoon where I live (crazy time difference between us) and I see this post pop up because it reminds me that Friday and a beautiful weekend are just around the corner.

  8. Can't believe they came from your front yard! I'm jealous. All that comes out of mine is weeds and grass clippings. Enjoy your weekend.

  9. I have just planted some Iceberg Roses, can't wait until I can pick a lovely bunch like that to put on display!

  10. I love iceberg roses - I really should pick some of ours before they get frizzled in this heat we're having. Enjoy your weekend x

  11. You have the best roses, Sarah. And always photographed to their best advantage. xx

  12. I just discovered your lovely blog. I'm just new into blogging & have just finished off my own blog on fashion & interior design.
I had a lot of fun putting it together maybe you would like to check it out if you have a spare minute.

  13. You were right to keep that vase ... it's a stunning shade of blue.

You always capture flowers so perfectly ... I always find myself leaning into the computer screen and studying them more closely!
