Yesterday I made eclairs and profiteroles for the first time.
The recipe I used is here and despite all the reviews on the site saying the choux pastry was a bit tricky to make I thought it was rather easy. The custard cream filling was so yummy I had to pipe the remains straight into my mouth. Yes, gross of me.
Sorry for the dodgy image, it was low light. They're perched on a Spode plate on my new Mozi tea towel which I think might be too nice to use as a tea towel. I thought it might be better as a placemat of some description. I like the overload of pattern :)

ReplyDeleteProfiteroles are my signature dish Sarah (I use Women's Weekly recipe). People are so impressed when I make them but they don't realise they are surprisingly easy to make.

ReplyDeleteI have shied away from making these in the past because I thought that they were beyond my capabilities....you've given me a bit of inspiration to try them now. They were served at my wedding reception, so maybe I'll surprise husband for our wedding anniversary?
