I baked bread the other day and have to say I'm rather impressed with my efforts. I used a Laucke packet mix from Coles Supermarket. All I had to do was mix in yeast to the flour mix, add in water, knead like heck, wait patiently, knead a little more and bake!
Look how professional it looks! This is a German Grain bread and I added some sunflower seeds to the top.
Have you had much success with bread? Mine often tastes a little like scones, not that that's a bad thing :)
Yummy!
xx
Oh my goodness Sarah! I am well and truely impressed! This looks better than the bread that my Mum makes with her bread maker! Totally German gourmet bakery. And the smell of freshly baked bread is SOOOO good!

ReplyDeletethat is the nicest looking bread I have seen in ages. Well done x
ReplyDeleteYum! When I was at home with my kids I baked a bit of bread... It tastes so so good when you bake it yourself, mind you, the delicious smell of it baking in the kitchen gets the mouth watering so by the time it does out of the oven you are ready to get stuck in! If you ate some warm straight from the oven, I hope you didn't skimp on the butter!!!! X
ReplyDeleteyes i used to make mine from absolute scratch and it would take days but yours looks just as good if not better. I'll be over soon for the crust!
ReplyDeleteThis looks delish!!
ReplyDeleteit looks the real deal Sarah, you must be happy with it?
ReplyDeleteI can just imagine it topped with smoked salmon, dill and horseradish cream.
Glad you finally dropped in to Bottega, we just got back with some fresh mozzarella and another hard cheese. We couldn't resist.
Oh Sarah, you'll have to come around and show me how to use our bread maker we have shoved in the bottom of a cupboard somewhere ☺. Scrummo! J x
