This is the beautiful dahlia I brought home with me from last Sunday's Farmers Market.
I just love it. Mum has already requested a piece of tuber when it has grown a little.
Doesn't nature create the most amazing things?

ReplyDeleteI can imagine blooms like this being the inspiration for many artists to create fabrics, homewares, you name it.
It's as if God has taken a brush and painted the ends of each petal with the most glorious happy purple paint.

ReplyDeleteI have never grown dhalias, however I think they are fabulous. Apparently I have a cousin who is obsessed and grows them for flower shows. Yours is spectacular..
