Flowers for a Friday

I took these pics the other day - how pretty is the colour of these roses?
YAY for Friday!!!! It has been a  busy working week and I am looking forward to getting out in the garden to plant some bulbs (and doing a good spot of relaxing). I have quite a lot of bulbs to go in and I am still deciding whether to plant in a formal or informal manner. By that I don't mean should I wear a ball gown whilst planting (there's an interesting picture), I mean do I plant certain colours in neat beds or scatter all over the place for a natural effect? Hmmm..decisions, decisions...
Have a great Friday and even better weekend, friendly readers!

  1. Gorgeous roses - what a stunning colour!! Love the artwork on your wall behind too. Which bulbs are you going to plant? I have to admit, I like the formal manner of bulb planting, there's something about the effect of mass planting like that which I love. Hope you have a great Friday so you can get onto your gardening and relaxing over the weekend x

  2. Thanks Amanda, the artwork is a piece of Marimekko fabric - very colourful.
I have ranunculus, irises, anemones, ixias, fressias and hoop petticoats to plant. I will be a busy but might stretch it out over a few days as there's not rush to get them all in. :)

  6. Gorgeous roses, are they from your garden? You already know how jealous I am of your garden! I vote for bulbs planted in a natural informal manner. I like that natural cottage garden look.
