Friday flowers ... Early Peonies


Mum brought over these stunning pink peonies from her garden,


I think the variety is Sarah Bernhart.


I love the colour against the blue and white bits I have displayed on the mantel at the moment. I love my old French street number and Spode china.


What pretty shades of pink.


There's those little juice bottles again. These ones I've decorated with some stickers.


The little bottle above is a recent Etsy treat. It's an antique French perfume bottle. You can't see the details thanks to Hipstamatic, but it has gold text on the front. Lovely.

    What gorgeous flowers!!! Those bottles are so beautiful too, thanks for the inspiration! I just bought some jars to collage and fill with sweets as Christmas gifts so I am soaking in those wonderful ideas! X

    I think peonies are one of the prettiest flowers and your photos are lovely as usual. The stickers are a very nice idea to spice up a humble bottle.

    oh wow peonies already! They are so beautiful, definitely a favourite! They did sell them at the farmers market at one stage but I don't think they do anymore so you are so lucky to have them in the garden! Hope you had a great weekend x

    I'm so envious of those beautiful peonies Sarah. It is still at least 3 or 4 weeks until the season really gets underway here. How fantastic that your Mum can grow them in her garden. I understand they're tricky to grow. I love how they puff out and change colour as they age, and every stage is quite beautiful. Hope you had a gorgeous weekend, xx
