Friday flowers...after the rain

I took these pics yesterday morning. It seems it had been raining the night before, but I don't remember it, despite getting up to Molly twice. Once for fresh water and the other so she could sit on the front verandah and ponder life for a bit. 3.28am is not the best time to do that Molly.

I am quite surprised that my clematis is flowering again. I didn't expect a second flush. These are smaller but still so pretty.

My David Austin roses were full of rain, many with their heads all tipped over. Above is Benjamin Britton, an almost neon pink.

Heavy heads of Lady of Megginch above and below is Jubilee Celebration.

Happy Friday peeps.
Have a good one
xx
ps thank you for your well wishes for Molly and her dicky knee. I have taken your advice and started her on fish oil. Back to the vet on Tuesday for another shot :)

  1. You are a good mother to Molly, I'd be tempted to tell her to go back to bed at that time of the night. The flowers are lovely even after the rain do the roses have much scent?

    1. Yes, that pooch has me wrapped around her paw :)
The Austin roses generally have beautiful scents. Lady of Megginch doesn't though, which is odd for a dark red/pink rose but I ignore that as it's so beautiful :)

  2. an interesting night but sometimes mods (mums of dogs) just have to do it. the fish oil will help, my Vet told me it has a real anti-inflammatory effect. gentle hugs to M, and lovely roses.
we're in heavy rain here, drenching and cold.
    have a lovely weekend.

    1. That's good to know about the fish oil. She went for a run last night, was no stopping her and has come up really sore this morning. Poor girl :)

  3. Beautiful clematis, lucky girl to get a second flowering.
I'd love to be able to read a dogs mind sometimes!

  4. Your flowers are amazingly beautiful. Very jealous of your clematis. I have tried to grow it a couple of times, but with no success. And you even got a double flowering time! Woohoo - that's a green thumb!

  9. It's snowing here. So it's great to see those flower pic. I love snow, it's the only thing I adore about winter, but summer is still better. I'm sorry for Molly...those injections are a bit painful I guess. But it's all for her best. She's so cute.
