Lawn Bowls fun

For a relaxing evening pursuit Lyn, myself and some friends had a few games of lawn bowls at the Lowlands Bowls Club in Newcastle last weekend.

Lyn and I used to play barefoot bowls at Hobart's Sandy Bay Bowls Club a few years ago so the pressure was on to perform well. Well, sort of :)

Look at that style...
reminding me of this butt shot of Lyn from a while back..

That's me. What grace! *cough, cough* maybe not :)

And check out fellow player, Rick's shorts. These deserved a post all to themselves.
Sorry Rick, I couldn't help it.
Well, out of the eight games played, Lyn won five and I won three!
Not bad. Well, it was a lovely evening - until those pesky mozzies came out to eat me!
Have a great day bloggies!

  1. How relaxing. Looks like so much fun ... and I can just hear the 'clunk' of the bowls as they hit each other.

    Great duds, Rick.

  2. Well you three aren't in your lawn bowl whites. The senior citizens would have to ban Rick though. Those shorts are short! Does he or Lyndon do work up in Brissie? They'd fit in well around our place!

  3. Ha, made me think of your 70's men from a few posts ago...does Rick like knitted shirts, high waisted slacks and pointed collars? Looks like you had lots of fun. I think you look very graceful, cheers Katherine

  4. It looks like you had a lot of fun :) Love the pics!
    Have a great Sunday :)

  5. Love those shots... I think they've got a Californian vibe going on! I have only ever played barefoot bowls and it was loads of fun! What a great outing! X

  6. Looks like you had such a wonderful trip Sarah, and some sunshine too! I've never been up that way to Newcastle before but I'd love to visit sometime. I'm so excited you got some dinosaur designs, it's a little bit addictive : ) Hope you had a wonderful weekend xx

  7. Lawn bowls is a fun activity - last time I played was at an after work function years ago - I wasn't any good but I did win the door prize which was a TAB ticket that I won $20 on :)

I love hearing from you - your lovely comments make my day!
