One word...YUM!
I made this super yummy cake yesterday and it's ever better than it looks (and I think it looks pretty good).
The recipe came from the recent edition of Real Living magazine. It's my new fave magazine.
Well, I may have to go to work today, but at least I have nice cake to eat at morning tea.
So that makes it all ok :)
xx
Oh I can smell all that warm spicy deliciousness from here. The perfect sort of cake Sarah. xx

ReplyDeleteOh yum! Put the kettle on.... ;-)
ReplyDeleteYum - and what excellent presentation. Very appertising with your gorgeous photo ability.
ReplyDeleteThat tea cake looks so delicious! Your photos are just stunning! I often make an apple tea cake, but I cheat and use canned apples... I think it is time to raise the bar and use fresh ones instead! I have that edition of Real Living so no excuses! Somehow though, I don't think mine will look as pretty as yours! X
ReplyDeleteThat looks very delicious !! ...lovely day darling....love Ria....xxx..
ReplyDeleteThat teacake looks absolutely delicious, Sarah! I am not really a cake girl (unless it is cheesecake:D), but I do like a good teacake too ~ YUM!! Yesterday I made cheesymite scrolls (with the help of my breadmaker) and today I am going to try cinnamon scrolls with vanilla glaze drizzle...thanks for the inspiration to get into the kitchen right NOW :D Hope you have a wonderful Wednesday, Sarah ~ Txx

ReplyDeleteI saw that recipe too and will have to have a go at it. Yours looks just like the one from the mag. It was a good edition, that recent one wasn't it. Took ages to read and there were lots of interesting ideas.
ReplyDeleteOh I'm glad you posted the recipe - it looks wonderful! I love apple cake and over the years have tried many different ones so I shall definitely give this one a whirl!

ReplyDeleteHi Sarah, thanks for your message - no I couldnt find it either - although after paging thru 7 of 14 pages of recipes i gave up as i assumed they would be most recent recipes first - may be they don't post them until the next editions out to make people buy the mag!
ReplyDeleteMind you I came across some other yummy recipes( and i saw your pavlova with salted butterscotch sauce recipe!) - an orange and rhubarb cake and rhubarb cheesecakes! Our rhubarb is almost big enough for picking!
I dont want you to go to any time or trouble with the recipe, I can wait until they publsih it online and try out the rhubarb ones instead!
Thanks!
